Job description

Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology, revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. With AI redefining the computing paradigm, solutions must evolve to unify innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. Our diverse team of technologists have developed a high performance RISC-V CPU from scratch, and share a passion for AI and a deep desire to build the best AI platform possible. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to solving hard problems. We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.

At Tenstorrent, we believe computing should be open, fast, and built for real workloads. You will help run the Linux infrastructure behind silicon design and emulation workflows.

This role is hybrid, based out of Santa Clara, CA.

We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.

Who You Are
  • Early-career engineer with experience in Linux infrastructure or adjacent systems work.
  • Comfortable with Linux administration across users, packages, services, and system settings.
  • Familiar with Python and Bash for automation, reporting, and operational tasks.
  • Clear communicator who documents issues and works well across engineering teams.

What We Need
  • Support Linux infrastructure for EDA and silicon design environments.
  • Help maintain schedulers such as LSF, Hero, SGE, or SLURM.
  • Install, support, and debug EDA tools in shared production environments.
  • Manage tool environments with Environment Modules or Lmod.
  • Monitor system health and help build dashboards and alerts.

What You Will Learn
  • How large-scale SoC infrastructure supports design, emulation, and debug workflows.
  • How to operate shared EDA environments across users, tools, and versions.
  • How schedulers, observability, and automation improve engineering throughput.
  • How infrastructure teams partner with silicon and design engineers.
